What Will You Actually Do?
Advisory Members Will:
Share your experiences with family caregiving in Alberta
Identify gaps in services and supports
Provide insight on, and review, new caregiver resources
Provide feedback that shapes policy and programs
Time Commitment:
4 sessions per year
Each session ~60–90 minutes

No experience needed. Just your story, your culture, and your care.
1. You Care Because It’s Family
If you provide unpaid care for a parent, grandparent, spouse, child, friend, or neighbour — this space is for you. Your love and effort make you a caregiver, even if you’ve never called yourself one.
2. You Bring Culture, Heart, and Perspective.
We’re seeking caregivers from multicultural or immigrant communities — Filipino, South Asian, African, Caribbean, Arab, Latin American, Chinese, and beyond — to ensure every voice is represented. If you speak multiple languages, that helps too!
3. You're ready to Share Your Story — Simply and Safely.
You can join a 90-minute online session (via Googlemeet on phone or computer) and talk about your caregiving experience in English.

No. Your lived experience is what matters most. We want to hear from real caregivers about what works, what’s missing, and how we can improve support.
Everyone who applies will receive an acknowledgement email. Please check your spam folder and make us a trusted sender so you can receive our emails.
Each session lasts about 90 minutes and happens online through GoogleMeet. You can join from your phone or computer — whichever is easiest.
You’ll share your caregiving story and experiences — what challenges you face, what support you wish existed, and how caregiving feels within your family or community. There are no wrong answers. You'll also provide feedback on our new caregiving resources.
Yes. All conversations are confidential and anonymized. We’ll never share your name or personal details — only the insights that help improve caregiver tools and resources.
Once you fill out the short application, our team will review it and reach out within a few days to confirm your spot. We'll work with you to schedule a date that works best. You’ll also receive clear instructions about your session and payment.
